Festival Fringe victim of air travel restrictions.


The Fringe event talk by Rebecca Abrams had to be cancelled as the author was unable to return from Israel due to delays in air travel caused by the Volcanic dust from Iceland.


We apologise to the disappointed ticket holders, to Keith Bradford at Thornbury Bookshop and La Bruschetta who were providing the coffee and cake but the cancellation was unavoidable.

All tickets are refundable so please contact Thornbury Bookshop."

 

The full-colour Festival brochure is now available at the usual outlets including Thornbury Town Hall, the Library and various shops and offices around Thornbury and nearby villages.

IMPORTANT. Bookings will be accepted only when made on the Festival Booking Form. Forms are available with the Events Guide and an abridged guide and booking form is bound into the April edition of the Thornbury Magazine.

The Festival Guide is available on-line as a pdf file by following the link on the left hand panel. An Adobe Acrobat reader is required, go to Adobe.com to download a free pdf reader.

The on-line booking form can be printed out at home by clicking on the link in the left hand panel. The use of R or F in the booking form has been clarified, it only applies to events where Reserved Seating is available.

In a first for the Festival website, a link to a BMJ podcast featuring Gareth Williams and the campaign to reinstate Edward Jenner's statue in Trafalgar square can be found on the programme notes for Prof William's presentation on Thursday April 29th.
The Festival fringe events have now been denoted with the symbol. Bookings for Fringe events must be made with the Event organisers and not through the Festival Box Office.

 

Severn Vale Open Studios Arts Trail open May 1st - May 9th 2010

The Arts Trail exhibition will be open from 22 April to 29 April in Thornbury Town Hall

The SVAT Virtual Gallery is now on-line and the glossy brochure is available at Thornbury Town Hall and from the various artists in the Trail.

 

Thornbury's own local radio station GLOSSFM will be on air again, on FM 87.7 from 19 April, we understand that plans are being made to feature performers appearing in the Festival. Current plans (to be confirmed) include broadcasts of interviews, recordings and news items.

All broadcasts are subject to confirmation, final programming details will be available nearer the transmission date.

The final images are now in place and the website gives an up-to-date summary of the Festival programme. The official Festival brochure is in preparation and will be available next month.

Prices for seating at all events is given in the Diary Page entry for each performance and also in the detailed Programme notes.
