Tickets are selling very well for many of the the Festival Events.

All seats have been sold for Cider with Rosie on Thursday 15 May

All seats have been sold for Mr Acker Bilk and his Paramount Jazz band on Saturday 17 May

All tickets have been sold for Nick Large's Tales of the Riverbank on Sunday 18 May

There are just a few remaining seats for Tango:Nuevo on Friday 16 May

Tickets are still available for the other events

Local musician/singer Nick Langston has been engaged to appear as an additional attraction on the bill with comedian Greg Mclaren on Sunday May 11th. Nick is a star in the making, singing cool jazz, swing and latin tempi echoing the relaxed style of such as Sinatra, Bryan Ferry and Scott Walker. Nick appears with his quintet and will play a set commencing at 7.00pm

Sadly, we heard this morning that Humphrey Lyttelton passed away today following a heart operation last week.
Our thoughts and condolenced go to his family, friends and countless fans.

At very short notice, Mr Acker Bilk has been engaged to appear in the Saturday night Jazz spot with his Paramount Jazz band.

All those who have been allocated tickets are being contacted by phone over the next few days. Any returns will be offered in strict order to those on the waiting list.

Arts Festival Week - May 9th - May 18th 2008

The Festival Guide and booking forms were delivered today and and will be available soon in the Library, Armstrong Hall, the Town Hall and the usual outlets. The programme and booking form were also inculded in a centre spread in April's edition of the Thornbury Magazine.

Severn Vale Open Studios Arts Trail open May 3rd - May 17th

The Virtual Gallery is now on-line, the fold-out guide has been printed and will be available soon from the Library, the Town Hall various pubs and restaurants in the area, and from the artists themselves.
