Thornbury Arts Festival 2003 May 5 - May 14 2006

A varied and exciting programme is in prospect with strong booking demand anticipated for most of the Festival events.

Sir John Mortimer QC, playwright and raconteur opens the Festival on Friday 5 May followed by a full programme in Festival Week. Film returns to the Festival and an exciting new venture is the Open Studios scheme which has replaced the Town Hall Art Exhibition.

Community Arts
The Festival encourages the community to be active in the Arts. Activities range from the Eisteddfod, the hot Bands Scene for young people, Poetry, Dance and Music in the schools, to the Poetry Slam in the "White Lion"; an acoustic Indian music event and the Open Studios scheme when local Artists will be in attendance in their own studios.
