The National Youth Folk Dance Troupe of England got things off to a rousing start with their lively pre-Festival event to be followed by a full programme in Festival Week at the Armstrong Hall complex and exhibitions of art and craftwork at the Town Hall. The full glossy Festival Guide is available from Thornbury Town Hall, Thornbury Library and other public places also at Tesco.

Community Arts
The Festival encourages the community to be active in the Arts. Activities range from the Eisteddfod, the hot Bands Scene for young people, Poetry, Dance and Music in the schools, to the Poetry Slam in the "Lion"; the fringe Revue in the Chantry; local artists exhibitions; The Castle Bands concert; and local performers taking their shows to Residential Homes in the area.
