Exhibition of Glass by Rachael Richardson

Rachel was educated at Castle School and is now studying Architectural Glass at Swansea University. She uses glass in a number of different ways and will display examples of etched and stained glass, tiles, panels and terrariums which she has created.

Kate West returns to the Thornbury Arts Festival exhibition rooms after a number of years. Her original jewellery designs and her flair for colour, texture and shape in the individual pieces, when viewed as a collection creates a stunning visual display.

Silk, by Silk Inspirations

Silk Inspirations is a small group of local silk crafters who meet monthly to swap ideas and experiment with new materials. They make scarves (all hand washable), cards, evening bags, and other small items hand crafted in silk and silk/viscose velvet. They also create decorative tassels and cords in various threads.

Solo Exhibition by Dave Collett

We welcome Dave Collett, Bristol Jazz legend, to Thornbury for his first solo exhibition. Exchanging the piano keyboard for the pallette Dave is now an artist living in Downend specialising in watercolour landscapes.

Artwork themed on "The Church"

The Reverend David Primrose has invited as many individual groups and individuals as possible to submit artwork in any form on the general theme of "The Church"

There will be a preview evening on 6th May from 7.00pm to 9.00pm with music and wine with tickets available at the door priced at £2.50.

Money raised from sales of the artwork will be used to aid Thornbury's Castle School's bid for specialist status in the visual arts.
