The Thornbury Festival started life in 1966 aiming to provide an artistic focus for a young and expanding community.  The vision lives on - providing a programme of Music, Drama, Performance and Arts of high quality, while at the same time becoming larger, more popular and more adventurous. Community Arts
The Festival encourages the community to be active in the Arts. Activities range from the Eisteddfod for young people to an
innovative project for older people living in a residential home, with the aim of presenting a performance of movement and dance. Local children will record the development of the project and the progress of the rehearsals.
